The Alpeuregio Summer School allows to the participants to increase their knowledge of the European Union, to tackle doubts and give answers to legitimate questions. It is also a unique opportunity to gather relevant information concerning working opportunities and careers in the European Institutions. High-level functionaries from several EU bodies will present and give an insight into different relevant topics, thus the participants will be acquainted with realities and problems that otherwise would be difficult to face.

The structure of the 2016 edition is based on the ten priorities of the European Commission with particular reference to following macro-areas:

• Climate change, environment, energy and circular economy
• Digital Single Market
• Europe as a global actor and the migration issue
• Regional policy (EUSALP, EGTC)
• Functioning and decision-making process of the European Institutions
• Careers and lobby activities
• Economic policy
• Social, health and consumers policy
• Research and innovation

Interactive classes, workshops and discussions will allow to analyse topical issues and to see the European Union through different eyes. The Alpeuregio Summer School 2016, open to thirty participants hailing from the European Region territories (Tyrol, South Tyrol and Trentino), will take place from the 4th to the 14th of July on the premises of the European Region Tyrol – South Tyrol – Trentino.
